    Rajasthan: Fuel pumps to remain shut for 24 hours over VAT rate

    Petrol and diesel pumps will keep their operations shut for a day (from 6am on October 23 to 6am on October 24) across the state in protest against increased VAT. They claimed that the sale of diesel had taken a dip in Rajasthan due to increased VAT.
